I
got this play mat as a gift at one of my baby showers. It's extremely colorful
and bright, with lots of toys attached. We started using this with our son when
he was 1 month old, and he immediately loved the music and watched the lights.
This entertains him and even calms him down when he is fussy. He's six months now and is constantly playing
with it. He rolls around hitting the
hanging toys and talking non-stop for at least 30 minutes.
This
is such a fun gym. I love that it has a
rattle, crinkly animals, a spinning toy, soft lights and music to keep babies
busy. The tags on the floor and the
crinkly leaf below the giraffe are also great. It has options to continuously
play music or to only play when baby plays with the toys. You can also
lower-or-raise-the-sound of the music. There are many places to take linking
toys so you can add your own toys to keep it fresh and entertaining. I thought
that batteries would run out quick, as we have used it many times a day, but
it's been 5 months and I have only replaced them once. The batteries are
installed on the big orange giraffe, and it is hard to get to them, which is
pretty safe for your baby.
The
gym comes with a sealable plastic bag.
It's very easy to assemble, disassemble, and store in that bag. It may
be slightly big, but it's flat so it won't take up much space in your closet. The
mat is thick and is easy to wash and clean. It
has actually gone through the wash several times and still looks like
new.
My
six month old son could stay on this thing for half an hour laughing and
playing. it gives me a chance to take a break, prepare dinner, or get something
done. This play mat is really safe,
durable, fun, and functional. This has
been the best gift we have ever received, and I would HIGHLY recommend it.
